Hip Hop Album Sales: The Weeknd Is Still The Star

On this week’s Billboard 200 albums chart, The Weeknd remains at the #1 spot with Starboy. The rest of the list maintains similar standing from previous weeks with the exception of Social Club Misfits.

The Weeknd Stays In The Stars

The Weeknd’s Starboy holds its #1 position for the third week in the row. This sales cycle, the LP pushed 60,659 equivalent album units. It sold nearly 13,000 albums and was streamed 57 million times.

Run The Jewels Sprints Up The Chart

The album came out digitally as a Christmas surprise for fans, but was released physically on January 13. The increase moves the album from #106 to #13 — the highest position the group has ever hit on the chart.
