Tips para curar un resfriado de verano1Afuera, el sol acaricia con su calor a un nuevo día y las flores iluminan las calles en una explosión cromática. En el cielo, no hay ni una nube. Adentro, tú no has parado de estornudar: estás resfriada.

Redman Previews “Muddy Waters 2” & Reaches Out To 9th Wonder For Production

Redman Previews "Muddy Waters 2" & Reaches Out To 9th Wonder For Production

Instagram/redmangilla
NEWARK, NJ – Redman has talked about creating a sequel to his classic album Muddy Waters for years. The Funk Doc first mentioned Muddy Waters 2 all the way back in 2010 and officially announced its recording in 2012. In subsequent years, release dates have been promised yet were unfulfilled. Now, it seems like the project may finally become a reality.
Over the past few days, Redman has shared previews of the highly anticipated album on his Instagram account. The first post featured a snippet of a song produced by Vinyl Frontiers.
“MUDDY WATERS 2,” he wrote in the caption. “WORK NIGGA WORK ! Produce By my Homies Vinyl Frontiers frm Overseas ! BEAST MODE ! 32 Hours No Sleep ! Message will Self Destruct in 5 min !”

http://j.mp/2rlEKIn

Redman followed it up with a teaser for a new entry to his long-running “Soopaman Luva” series. The veteran MC did not preview the record but gave fans a glimpse at its creation.
“LADIES AND GENTS,” he wrote on Instagram. “WE ARE NOW WORKN ON ‘ SOOPAMAN LUVA 8 ‘ We cant let you HEAR the BEAT . But INCREDIBLE ! @redmangilla and @joshgannet WE WORKS-NO SLEEP ! TEAM MUDDY 2 #muddywaters2.”

http://j.mp/2sg9E58

Redman’s most recent update was his attempt to recruit 9th Wonder for the album. The Def Squad member told 9th that he heard about the producer’s desire to work with him and was ready to make it happen.
“Yo, 9th Wonder!” Red said in the video below. “I heard you wanna work, nigga. Let’s work, let’s work, nigga! This one of my favorite remixes by you, nigga. Erykah Badu, Afro Blue, nigga.”

Redman appears to have learned his lesson about false promises and has avoided announcing another release date. If Muddy Waters 2 does arrive in 2017, it will be his ninth solo LP and first since 2015’s Mudface.

T.I. & Kevin Hart’s “The Studio” Heading To Showtime

Matthew Eisman/Getty Images for Muzik
Atlanta rap mogul T.I. and celebrated actor-comedian Kevin Hart have secured a television network for their music comedy series, The Studio. Executive produced by the duo, the show has been picked up by Showtime for development, according to Deadline. The series is written by Aeysha Carr, whose comedy credits include The Carmichael Show and Everybody Hates Chris.
T.I. expressed his gratitude on Instagram and wrote “LOOK AT GOD” under a screenshot of a news story announcing The Studio found a home.

http://j.mp/2rWs518

The Studio is set in a location T.I. knows all too well — the recording studio. The comedy focuses on the people and conversations that breathe life into the studio. Naturally, it will also delve into various late-night recording antics.
T.I. and Hart will reportedly make guest appearances on the show, but are unlikely to join The Studio‘s regular cast.
No premiere date has been announced as of yet. Check out T.I.’s post above.

DX Digest: 2 Chainz Drops “4 AM” With Travis Scott & Teyana Taylor Rocks With Migos

In 2012, it was difficult to think of a world where 2 Chainz (formerly Tity Boi) would ever be slept on again. Yet here we are five years later and experiencing a shift to more youth-driven musical acts, but the Atlanta rapper has stayed resilient. His music’s quality hasn’t wavered despite anticipation that it would not be what it once was.
Last year, 2 Chainz dropped a trifecta of projects, including Felt Like CappinDaniel Son; Necklace Don and Hibachi for Lunch. Recent singles, “Good Drank” featuring Gucci Mane and Quavo, and “It’s A Vibe” with Ty Dolla $ign, Trey Songz and Jhené Aiko, both appear on his upcoming album Pretty Girls Like Trap Music, in stores June 16.
Tuesday (May 30)’s DX Digest highlights the latest snippet of the project “4 AM” with Travis Scott, as well as Teyana Taylor and Migos’ racy video for “Dripping.”

2 CHAINZ F. TRAVIS SCOTT – “4 AM”

The pendulum continues to swing as new entries continue to change the conversation surrounding the soundtrack for summer ’17. 2 Chainz enters his name into the discussion with his hypnotic track “4 AM” featuring Travis Scott. The biggest surprise here is Tauheed’s promise to send his lady to Dr. Miami. Other than that, we see the Atlanta rapper rhyme in a familiar pocket. And no, that is not a bad thing. Scott handles the chorus. Check it out above.

TEYANA TAYLOR F. MIGOS – “DRIPPING”

NSFW alert! Songstress Teyana Taylor coats herself in fluorescent body paint in “Dripping,” which also features Migos. Her lyrics are unabashedly raunchy and the steamy scenes are bound to make viewers forget that the Atlanta trio is even there. But most importantly, the song is pretty damn good. Hopefully, she’ll be able to follow up her criminally underrated 2014 LP, VII, with something greater.

STYLES P – “HOLD THE GHOST”

If we equate rap to basketball, some of Styles P’s most efficient shots are on soulful production. Here, he jacks some beats (respectfully, of course) from Smoke DZA and Pete Rock’s “Hold The Drums.”

NE-YO – “ANOTHER LOVE SONG”

Singer-songwriter Ne-Yo celebrated Memorial Day by offering “Another Love Song” – the third song in a trio that includes “Earn Your Love” and “More Than I Should” featuring Candice and RaVaughn. This uptempo groove will have you and your significant other dancing on the living room floor regardless of who’s watching.

MURA MASA F. DESIIGNER – “ALL AROUND THE WORLD”

Desiigner puts his froggy voice to work in Mura Masa’s visual for his new single “All Around The World.” Much of the footage takes place in a parking lot, but the cinematography greatly sells the point. Oh and the song isn’t too shabby either.

JOEY FATTS F. XAVIER WULF & MAXO KREAM – “DO WHAT YOU NEED TO”

We’ve seen a lot more of Joey Fatts lately. With the promise of his I’ll Call You Tomorrow mixtape, the Long Beach rapper delivers “Do What You Need To,” a new track featuring Xavier Wulf and Maxo Kream. Trap production from TayMasterChef and Black Youth inspires the rappers to talk very greasy, which we (read: I) appreciate.

AUDIO PUSH – “HIDE THE CAMERAS”

If there’s one thing Audio Push has always been, it’s musically rich. This time, group member Price co-produces the new track “Hide The Cameras” alongside Eric Choice.

VADO – ‘SINATRA 2’ MIXTAPE

Vado is back from his hiatus with 13 tracks bundled into a new mixtape titled Sinatra 2. It features guest appearances from Lloyd Banks, Phresher, Narley Jenkins and Jacque.

DUMBFOUNDEAD F. CHANCELLOR – “HISTORY OF VIOLENCE”

Los Angeles rapper Dumfounded continues to push his Foreigner EP with a thought provoking lyric video for “History of Violence.” The narrative here has little to with the similarly titled 2005 film starring Viggo Mortensen, and everything to do with the injustices we see happening on American soil at the hands of those entrusted to protect its citizens.

Travis Scott Drops Deets On Quavo Collaboration & ‘AstroWorld’ Project In New Freestyle

http://j.mp/2qCSfSC

Although details on Travis Scott’s follow-up to Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight has been scarce, the Houston rapper-producer has been teasing bits of information. During a Wisconsin show in early May, Scott spit a freestyle that seemed to touch on his next full-length albumAstroworld.
“Which one? I don’t know. Which one? I don’t know. Album coming soon,” Scott rapped. “I’ve been up late working on some tunes. Album coming soon.”
La Flame also talked about the collaboration project with Quavo as well. “The Quavo album is coming soon,” he spit. “I’m dropping new music soon. You know how I do it though — I like surprises.”

At last weekend’s Soundset Music Festival in Minneapolis, he previewed at track from the project with Quavo, and more recently, dropped a few loosies, including “Purple & Green” featuring Playboi Carti, “Butterfly Effect” and “A Man.”
Check out his freestyle and “Purple & Green” above until we know more.

Is New Music From Mr. Lif & Akrobatik Of The Perceptionists On The Way?

Is New Music From Mr. Lif & Akrobatik Of The Perceptionists On The Way?

YouTube/MelloMusicGroup
Boston Hip Hop stalwart Mr. Lif and fellow MC Akrobatik established The Perceptionists in 2004 alongside DJ Fakts One, and quickly signed with El-P’s former label Definitive Jux. Although the group only released one official studio album, 2005’s Black Dialogue, Lif and Akrobatik (who calls Lif his “best friend”) have remained tight over the years.
After Lif’s near-fatal bus crash and Akrobatik’s emergency aortic dissection in 2011, the two are, frankly, just thankful to be breathing. Mello Music Group, Lif’s current label, has just released a new mini-documentary about their journey, which dives into their unbreakable friendship.
“In a world as intense as the one we live in, it can be tough to stay focused on the things that really matter in life,” Lif explains to HipHopDX. “Luckily for myself and Akrobatik, after a lengthy hiatus from making records together, we’re both still alive and at the heights of our musical inspiration. It’s been a long friendship full of ups and downs — way more ups than downs by the way — and we both realize what’s important is unifying our efforts to make music that hopefully does for our listeners what it does for us.”

While it’s not 100 percent confirmed the duo is back in the studio whipping up a batch of fresh baked goodies, by the sound of it, it’s wouldn’t be too outside the realm of possibilities. Towards the end of the nearly seven-minute short film, Akrobatik says, “There’s people who have been waiting over a decade for this, including me, so I’m ready. I’m all in.” What “this” is hasn’t been defined yet, but there’s a sense it won’t be long before more is revealed.
Music can provide healing, peace of mind, and a sense of connectivity to others,” he says. “Based on what we see going on in the world nowadays, we hope our music can provide any one of, and hopefully all of, those crucial services and many more. Thankfully, Mello Music Group and Mild West captured this footage in which Akrobatik and I share thoughts on our friendship and music, as well as things to come.”
Hmmm.
